Terms of service

The short version: Lethe is software that holds a balance for your agent and spends it where you allow. You are responsible for what you ask it to buy and for following the law where you live.

Using Lethe

By connecting a wallet or using the API you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use Lethe.

You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and you must not be barred from using services like Lethe by sanctions or local law.

Sandbox

While Lethe runs in sandbox mode, deposits are simulated, deliveries are fake and clearly marked, and no real value moves. Nothing in the sandbox is an offer to sell goods or services.

The vault

The vault balance is a record Lethe keeps of value you have deposited and not yet spent or withdrawn. It is not a bank account, it earns no interest, and it isn't insured by any government.

Limits you set are enforced on every order. You are responsible for the limits you choose and for every order placed with your session or your API keys within them.

Orders and merchants

Orders are fulfilled by independent merchants listed on Lethe. Lethe verifies merchants and holds their bonds, but doesn't make the goods or services itself.

On mainnet, an order a merchant fails to deliver can be disputed within 14 days. Proven non-delivery is refunded from the merchant's bond and, if needed, from the insurance pool. Sandbox orders can't be disputed because nothing is bought.

What you can't do

Don't use Lethe to buy anything illegal where you or the merchant are, to move proceeds of crime, to evade sanctions, or to harm anyone. Don't attack, overload or reverse-engineer the service to get around limits.

We may freeze a vault and refuse service when we have good reason to think these rules are being broken.

$LETHE

$LETHE is not live. Nothing on this site is an offer to sell it, investment advice, or a promise about its value. Fee shares, buybacks and bonds described in the docs are a design that may change before launch.

No warranty

Lethe is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, lost profits, or losses caused by your wallet, your keys, your agent, network failures or merchants.

Changes

We'll post changes here and update the date below. Continuing to use Lethe after a change means you accept it.
